Jamu, Aug 25 (KNS): Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Friday lauded the J&K administration for coming clear on issue of 5 marla land to landless beneficiaries by categorically specifying that only domiciles will get this privilege.
In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the former deputy Chief Minister decried those political entities which were raising unnecessary hue and cry over the issue which in actual does not existed. He said that LG Manoj Sinha has already made it clear that not an inch shall be given to any outsider but those people having vested interests were trying to exploit the naïve citizens by concocting stories which were unfounded and without any basis.
Kavinder said that the order issued by the J&K Government making its stance clear has now put to rest all the controversies and proved beyond any doubt that LG Sinha’s administration is people friendly and can never take any step which could prove detrimental to the people of the UT.
Kavinder said that the nefarious designs of certain vested interest people have been thwarted by the LG administration by issuing the guidelines in black and white clearing all doubt on the aforesaid issue. He said to systematically draw the limits and come out with a concrete policy on any issue takes some time and it was this small gap, which the opposition parties wanted to misuse to sway the people through misinformation campaign launched by all the unprincipled politicians.
He said that order on land to landless, that too on lease of Rs 100 per marla is a lifetime bounty which J&K Government has promised to poor and deserving, clearing the clouds raised by unscrupulous elements through propaganda over government changing the demography.
The senior BJP leader urged the electorate of J&K not to fall prey to traps laid by opposition as no party other than BJP can mitigate people’s problems especially those of poor because all others work for satiating their vested interests but BJP for progress of nation and welfare of poor.(KNS)
