Handwara, Mar 31 (KNS) ; A farewell function was organised at District Police Office Handwara to accord a warm and respectful send-off to DySP DAR Handwara, Shri Shafiq Ahmad (JKPS), on his superannuation after rendering dedicated service to the department.
The function was attended by DIG NKR Baramulla Shri. Maqsood Ul Zaman-IPS,SSP Handwara Shri Sahil Sarangal (IPS), and other Senior officers of District Police Handwara .
The gathering paid rich tributes to the outgoing officer, acknowledging his distinguished career marked by professionalism, integrity, and an unwavering sense of duty.
SSP Handwara, while addressing the occasion, commended Shri Shafiq Ahmad for his exemplary leadership and steadfast commitment in maintaining discipline and operational efficiency within the District Armed Reserve.
He highlighted that the officer’s calm demeanour, administrative acumen, and people-centric approach significantly contributed to strengthening the overall policing framework in the district.

Fellow officers and staff members fondly recalled his tenure, describing him as a guiding force and a source of inspiration. They appreciated his supportive leadership, fairness in decision-making, and his ability to foster teamwork and morale among the ranks.
In his farewell address, Shri Shafiq Ahmad expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police fraternity for their constant support, cooperation, and camaraderie throughout his service. He conveyed pride in having served the department and extended his best wishes to the team for continued success.
