Srinagar, May 01 (KNS): Ghulam Nabi Azad led Democratic Progressive Azad Party has expelled former MLA Sopore Abdul Rashid Dar from basic membership of the party.
According to a communique, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), Dar has heen expelled for his anti-party activities.
“Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chairman, Democratic Progressive Azad Party has expelled Haji Abdul Rashid, Ex MLA, from the primary membership of the party, for the anti-party activities,” reads the communique.
Besides other Congress leaders, Dar had also joined the Azad-led party after the latter parted ways with the Congress party last year. KNS)
