Ex Dy CM Tarachand urged upon the BJP Govt to Restore Statehood to J&K

Akhnoor Oct 02 (KNS) :  Senior leader of Democratic Azad Party and Former Deputy Chief Minister Tarachand on Sunday urged upon the BJP government to fulfill his promise to the people of Jammu and kashmir for returning full statehood to the J&K as soon as possible, which PM had promised on the floor of the parliament.  He said that people of J&K feel betrayed by the downgrading of the historic state and deprived of the rights to land and jobs.


Addressing the mammoth public rally of newly formed Democratic Azad Party in Gigrial area of Chaamb khour Constituency, which was attended by thousands of people and senior worker, he said that Democratic Azad Party would intensify struggle for the restoration of Statehood with protection to Jobs and lands for the local People.

The mammoth rally was also addressed by Senior DAP leader, Former Minister Abdul Majeed Wani, Former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Former Minister Ch Garu Ram, Narinder Sharma and Varun Magotra. On this Occasion,  thousands of People took membership of the *Democratic Azad Party* and expressed Confidence in the party under the leadership of former CM Sh Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Tarachand said the political Philosophy formed the edifice of the *Democratic Azad Party's* agenda encompasses the true empowerment of the people through restoration of Statehood and legal safeguards for their land and jobs. He said that *Democratic Azad Party* feel duty bound to work for the well being of the people.


While addressing the public rally, Sh *Tarachand* said that rise in the prices of allmost all the things, including essential commodities has become a common feature these days. The Government should do something in this direction. He said the increasing prices of daily commodities have become a headache for the citizens of the nation. Sudden and massive rise in price cause an all round effect on prices of commodities that makes life of common man miserable. Price hike of Commodities of daily use is very unfortunate for people belonging to lower and middle class.


*Tarachand* said that the causal workers, daily wagers, Consolidated employees, need based workers and employees of several Departments highlighted their demands through protests seeking fulfillment of the commitments and promises by BJP Government to them while in Opposition and after assuming power, they are neglected by the government instead of resolving their issues.  He urged the government to consider the long pending demand including regularization of workers of different Departments.


He added the BJP's promise of providing employment to the youth of J&K also turned out to be hollow. The major stress of the government should have been to assuage the miseries of our unemployed youth who regrettably have grown up in Conflict. The need of the hour called for adoption of a magnanimous approach to give our youth a new hope and rescue them to safe shores, but nothing substantial is being done by the incumbent central and LG Government to achieve that end, " *Tarachand added*.

Prominent among those who present on the Occasion include, Sh Suram Singh, Jagattar Singh, Vijay Chib, Jagdish raj Sharma, Madanlal Sharma, Santosh Manhas, Sham lal Radha, Hansraj bhagat, Mukesh kumar, Tarsem Singh, Avtar Singh, Several Sarpanches and Panches were present on the Occasion.(KNS)
