Ensure 50 percent staff attendance in Govt offices: Kadfeen to JK Admin

Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Monday has urged the government to initiate 50 percent attendance of the staff in government offices in view of the prevalent pandemic.

Kadfeen said that the new variants are wreaking havoc on peoples’ lives and Jammu as well as Srinagar is turning into the hotbeds of COVID. The numbers he said are drastically surging. However, according to Kadfeen, mere weekend lockdowns in no way are going to avert the catastrophic situation and radical measures are needed to tame the crises. Kadfeen said that the government employees working in various offices of the state are at greater risk as no screening is being been in these offices of the people visiting them. Though according to Kadfeen, screening has been made mandatory at Civil Secretariat, other government offices have been left in the lurch. Kadfeen said that the Jammu and Kashmir administration must second other states in the country wherein 50 percent of the staff attendance has been ordered in order to safeguard people's lives and break the chain.

The Congress leader added that in absence of a proper and certified remedy, adopting of Covid appropriate behavior is the only way to tackle the situation. (KNS)
