SRINAGAR,17 MAY (KNS): An encounter has started between militants and security forces in Khanmoh area of Srinagar on Monday.

According to reports that a joint team of police and CRPF  launched a cordon and search operation in the Khanmoh area of Srinagar. 

As the security forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, ensuing a gunfight.
