Srinagar, Aug 28 (KNS): An encounter broke out between government forces and militants in Killora area of south kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday afternoon.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said that joint team of security forces launched cordon and search operation (CASO) in the area following the inputs of presence of militants in the area.
An officials said that as the joint team of security forces reached the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the encounter.
When this report was filled the gun battle was on in the area.
