Kupwara, May 10 (KNS): A 60-year-old was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Handwara-Baramulla highway near Kralgund area of Langate on Wednesday.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the man identified as Muhammad Yousuf Bhat son of Mohammad Sadiq of Ganapora Langate was hit by a speedy Sumo, leaving him critically injured.
He said that the injured man was evacuated to DH Handwara for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, SHO Kralgund Mohammad Ashraf, said that the driver has been arrested and vehicle has also been seized, while further investigation was going on. (KNS)
