Srinagar, May 11 (KNS): President Electronic and Print Media Association (EMPA) and Editor in chief ANN News Tariq Bhat called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

 

Bhat discussed various matters relating to media fraternity pertaining to welfare of working journalists. He also discussed other various matters relating to print and electronic media houses, besides presenting his views on the working of media housing in promoting peace and communal harmony.

 

He also put forth his concerns and issues pertaining to “fake news and rumours” spread by some miscreant on social media users.

While interacting with the Bhat, the LG observed that an independent media is the fourth pillar of democracy. The LG also lauded the efforts of Bhat for establishing Kashmir first 24*7 Tv news channel.
