Khansahib,Budgam:- September 11:-(KNS) Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has urged the Centre to restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir along with holding of early assembly elections  to end the prevailing socio- political  uncertainty  .
Speaking to people during his public out reach campaign in various villages of Khansahib constituency in Central kashmir Budgam, Hakeem Yaseen said that holding of early elections  was imperative to end prevailing socio- political uncertainty in jammu and kashmir. " People of jammu and kashmir were suffering due to governance deficit  in absence of a civilian government, " Hakeem Yaseen maintained . He said all the  social and developmental initiatives throughout jammu and kashmir have been pushed to wall. He said people want a civilian  government to get thier grievances and day to day problems redressed adequately through thier elected representatives . He said, in absence of an elected government, there was no accountability in the administration adding that a wide disconnrct prevails  between the bearucracy and people at the gross roots level that has wrecked a havoc with the issue and interests of public at large. He said restoration of state assembly   was necessary to push forward the process of stalled developmental tempo in jammu and kashmir.
PDF Chairman has also urged the Centre to restore full statehood to jammu and kashmir which was imperative to end the brewing and prevailing unrest and mistrust among the common people . He said unless full Statehood and an elected state  assembly was restored, return of peace and tranquility would be a distinct dream. " Centre should fulfill its promise about restoring statehood to jammu and kashmir without any further delay, " Hakeem Yaseen demanded  adding that  soon Prime Minister's  assurance in this regard is fulfilled, the more it would be in the overall interests of the country. He said delay in restoration of the statehood to jammu and kashmir was seen as another betrayal of promises made to the people by the successive  Central governments. He said people have become suspicious about the intentions of the Center which could be removed only by restoration of thier constitutional guarantees which have been usurped repeatedly since 1947 . He cautioned the Centre that jammu and kashmir was  a sensitive border state and any unnecessary delay in restoring to  people thier constitutional rights could be exploited by the vested interests. " If  dispensation at the helm of affairs at the Center fails to address the prevailing  disenchantment and mistrust among the people towards the mainstream at this crucial junction of the history, then the  posterity will never forgive it, " Hakeem Yaseen  maintained .
PDF Chairman also castigated the government for neglecting  development of three important tourism development authorities of Yusmarg,Doodhpathri and Tosmaidan in district Budgam despite the fact that these virgin tourism destinations have  vast potential to create ample  job  opportunities for the local populace especially  unemployed youth.
People of the Khansahib constituency generally complained about bad condition of roads, inadequate supply of ration, water and electricity ,  absence  of accountability in government offices and lack of livelihood opportunities to youth. Hakeem Yaseen assured the people  that the grievances put forth by them would be raised at the highest fora in the UT government for redressal.(KNS)
