DSEK to reschedule school timing from Nov 1; Classes to continue till favorable weather conditions: Dr. Tasaduq Hussain

Srinagar October 31 (KNS): Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Monday said it will reschedule school timing in Kashmir valley by November 1 and added, "Classes across will continue till weather conditions remain favorable".

 
Speaking to reporters, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr Tasaduq Hussain said the school timings in Kashmir valley will be rescheduled by November 1 as there are steep dip in Mercury.
 
"The DSEK is going to reschedule school timing by November 1, keeping the cold conditions in view", he said.
 
He also said the morning and evening temperatures have shown fall from couple of weeks so keeping the weather conditions into account the DSEK will change the timing of classes in schools across Kashmir valley.
 
About winter vacations, the Director School Education Kashmir, Dr Tasaduq Hussain said the DSEK is always subservient to weather conditions. "If weather remains favorable we will request students to attend classes during the month of December as our educational institutions bore a huge brunt of pandemic that allowed schools to open after two-and-a-half years", he said.
 
"The DSEK has dedicated this year to remedial teaching, academic excellence and to overcome learning gaps in order to fulfil losses students suffered in pandemic", Dr Tasaduq said.
 
"Till there is no snowfall or considerable decline in temperatures the DSEK won't announce winter vacations", he added.
 
He added, "If there will be snowfall in coming days the government will not hesitate to revisit the decision for the wellbeing of students".(KNS)
