Drug racket busted, 4 accused held along with huge consignment of drugs in Sopore: Police

Sopore, Dec 10 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday busted a drug racket by arresting four accused persons along with huge consignment of drugs in Ladoora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a special naka was established at Ladoora crossing by team headed by SHO Dangiwacha Imtiyaz Ahmed and DO Watergam Bilal Rasheed under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Ameen Bhat. 

“During the course of action, four persons were arrested along with 1008 Capsules of SPASTRANCAN Plus, 720 capsules SPASMOPROXYVON Plus and 288 Capsules,” he said. 

The have been identified as Muhammad Ramzan Dar son of Bashir Ahmed Dar of Ladoora, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh son of Muhammad Sultan Sheikh, Umer Yousuf son of Mohammad yousuf Lone—both residents of Nadihal Rafiabad and Farooq Ahmad Ambar son of Ghulam Nabi Ambar of Amberpora Tarzoo. 

The official said that a Case FIR No 195/2021, U/S 8/22 and 29 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and a SIT has been constituted to investigate the case thoroughly. (KNS)
