Langate March 17: (KNS) A drug de-addiction awareness programme was held on Wednesday at government middle school Kralgund Langate.

The event was organised with an aim to raise awareness about drug de-addiction among the youth and have a better understanding of the views of the younger generation.

The Programme was attended by Tehsildar Kralgund Qaziabad, SHO Kralgund Javid Ahmad, Principle Hr Sec MH Pora, staff members from middle school Kralgund and sevral other senior citizens were present.

Tehsildar Qazibabad Shahid Faraz,  spoke on the occasion and deliberated on the ill-effects of drug abuse and highlighted the need of taking preventive measures to eradicate the menace of drugs and other social evils in the district.

He also thanked Middle School Kralgund, staff members for organizing ouch good events to create awareness among students about drug abuse.

SHO Kralgund Javid Ahmad who is known for his aggressive anti-drug operations, said that the society has to come forward to fight the drug menace collectively with police. He sought the cooperation of public to ensure drug free society.

Principal higher secondary school M H Pora presented vote of thanks. He also appreciated staff members of Middle school Kralgund for organising programme on drug de-addiction.(KNS)
