Sopore, Oct 19 (KNS): Six days after drowning in river Jehlum, body of 19-year-old shepherd recovered from river Jhelum in Sopore on Tuesday afternoon. 

An official said that body of Nazir Ahmad Cheechi (19) son of Mohammad Yousaf Cheechi, a resident of Panaar village of Bandipora was retrieved after six days. 

He said, the body was spotted near Seer village and was handed over to the family for last rites. 

Pertinently Nazir drowned on October 13 following which a rescue operation was launched however the drowned boy couldn't be found immediately. (KNS)
