Srinagar October 16 (KNS): Dr Shenaz Ganai Ex MLC today called upon LG Maoj Sinha in Srinagar. During the meeting Dr Ganai extended her gratitude to the LG for his instrumental role in securing the sanction of a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Poonch. She recounted that only a few months ago, she had brought thelong pending issue of sanctioning a KendriyaVidyalayato the attention of the LG. This achievement is a testament to the commitment in bolstering educational infrastructure in the region.
During the meeting, Dr. Ganai stressed the need for completion of ongoing developmental works and urged the LG to personally oversee the matter of timely pension disbursements to pensioners, whose grievances have been amplified by delays in receiving their due payments.
With winter's frigid embrace already descending, the call for an uninterrupted power supply in remote areas was highlighted as a top priority. The plummeting temperatures intensified the urgency of securing stable electricity access highlighted Dr Ganai
Dr Ganai requested LG that the widening project of the vital Jammu to Poonch Road took plays an indispensable role in regional connectivity and transportation. The ongoing construction has brought forth a slew of challenges for local residents, who fervently appealed for its swift completion to alleviate their daily struggles.
Dr Ganai also requested for the critical need for a consistent supply of essential commodities, with a special emphasis on ration, kerosene, and other fundamental necessities.(KNS)
