Dr Hina Bhat interacts with PRI representatives in Ganderbal, seeks their support in implementation of KVIB schemes

Srinagar September 02 (KNS) : Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Hon’ble Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB presided over Interactive Session with DDC/BDC members and representatives from PRIs at Manasbal Ganderbal. Besides DDC/BDC members and PRI representatives, the session was also attended by senior officers from Board, District Administration, senior officers from banks and large number of aspirant entrepreneurs and educated unemployed youth of Ganderbal. During the interactive session, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat gave a brief about the employment generation programmes being implemented by the Board.


She stated that the Panchayat Raj Institutions are the wheels that propel the growth and development of the country. She underlined the need for active involvement of representatives from these institutions in target-oriented implementation of schemes being implemented for empowerment of masses , particularly educated unemployed youth, aspirant entrepreneurs, women and people belonging to marginal sections of the society. 

Dr Hina Shafi Bhat informed that over the last three years, margin money of Rs. 40.08 crores with bank loan of Rs. 110 crores has been provided for establishment of 2196 units thereby creating employment opportunities for 17394 people under JKREGP and PMEGP. Speaking on the occasion, LDM Ganderbal informed that record performance has been achieved under PMEGP in respect of district Ganderbal that too in only two first quarters of current financial year. 
Earlier, Dy. CEO KVIB-KD gave a detailed presentation about the aims and objectives of PMEGP and JKREGP. He stated that theses schemes are online and an aspirant entrepreneurs can apply online for availment of financial assistance under these schemes.
During the interactive session, representatives from PRIs appreciated the role of JKKVIB and bankers viz. successful implementation of employment generation programmes being implemented for the benefit of aspirants.

They however highlighted some bottlenecks being faced while processing the financial assistance cases. Dr Hina Shafi Bhat gave them a patient hearing and assured them that Board shall extend all the hand-holding support to ensure hastle free processing of the cases. She enjoined upon the implementing agencies and bankers to work in close coordination and ensure that the benefits of the schemes are percolated among target group. 

Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat further stressed for creation of ecosystem which shall be pave way for creation of micro enterprises by the people belonging to the cross-sections of the society like women, weaker and marginal sections of the society.  (KNS)
