Greets people on annual Urs Observances of Hazrat Syed Saleh Khan (RA), Hazrat Baba Hyder Reshi (RA)

Srinagar, 22 June (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday paid glowing tributes to noted scholar and polymath Muhtamim Tableeg Ul Islam and Hanfiya Arabic College Noor Bagh, Hazrat Molana Syed Qasim Shah Bhukhari (RA) on his death anniversary.
Late Alama shared a good comradeship with Sher- e- Kashmir, the bond was deeply immersed with spirituality and scholarship. Sher e Kashmir revered Late Alama for his scholarly acumen and pious nature, Party President said while paying glowing tributes to Hazrat Qasim Shah Bhukhari. “The valley of Kashmir has been very fortunate to have such erudite men bring laurels to it through their labor in the field of learning.
Alama devoted his entire life for the edification of numerous scholars, students and acquainted thousands of others with his celebrated works on religion, Islamic jurisprudence and Tasawuf,” he said in a statement issued to KNS.
Dr Farooq said extolling the role of celebrated polymath in giving preference to the native Kashmiri language while imparting education to his students. “Allama produced hundreds of texts on different subjects of Islam. Being an astute scholar; Allama translated various Persian and Arabic scholarly works into lucid Urdu and Kashmiri language in order to make the knowledge available to a lay man in simplest form. He contributed to the preservation of mother tongue largely by translating the holy Quran into the Kashmiri language. It is imperative for all the contemporary scholars, students to know these luminaries, such as Alama Bhukhari (RA), who had devoted their lives towards the enlightenment of people. I pay my earnest tributes to the great luminary,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Party president has also greeted people on the annual Urs Observances of Hazrat Syed Saleh Khan (RA) and Hazrat Baba Hyder Reshi (RA), praying that the day augurs well for Kashmir and brings everlasting peace and prosperity to the lives of people.
Among other Party’s General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Abdul Rahim Rather, Muhammad Shafi Uri, Mubarak Gul, and Ghulam Ahmed Shah have also paid glowing tributes to the revered scholar and polymath urging the contemporary generation to imbue their lives with his teachings.
