Says Kumar's demise marks end of an golden era

Srinagar, July 07:(KNS)    The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of  the legendary actor and heart throb of millions across Indian Sub-continent Dilip Kumar (Muhammad Yousuf Khan), who passed away earlier today at the age of 98.
 
Calling him the thespian of Indian cinema, Dr Farooq said the news of passing away of the legendary actor has saddened him profoundly. He said the actor has left behind a lasting impression with his method acting on the Indian Cine world. He said the deceased actor immortalised all the roles he played during the breadth of his acting career.
 
"His unparalleled brilliance and his enthralling presence on screen will guide many aspiring actors. His demise marks an end of an era. On this demise, I pay my earnest tributes to him, pray for peace to his soul in the highest echelons of Jannah, and forbearance to the bereaved particularly Saira Bano Ji to bear the irreparable loss.
