Expresses union with grief-stricken Banday family

Srinagar, 9 May (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice-President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Sunday paid glowing tributes to the veteran party leader, former MLA Shaheed Sheikh Muhammad Mansoor of Shopian on his 31st death anniversary.

Dr Farooq while paying tributes to the late Sheikh Mansoor said, “The history of National Conference party is replete with sacrifice and struggle. Sheikh Mansoor Sahib was one of the sons of soil who laid down his life serving the people of Shopian in particular and the state in general. On his 31st anniversary, I pay my glowing tributes to him. I pray to Almighty for peace to his soul. His sacrifice and service for the party and the people of the state shall be remembered for all the times to come,” he said.

 Mr Omar Abdullah in his message said, “Late Mansoor Sahib laid down his life for the principles of truth, courage and peace. On his death anniversary, I offer him my tributes. His contribution towards the development of Shopian is immense which cannot be summarized in few words.”

Among others, General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustufa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Party MPs Hassnain Masoodi, Muhammad Akbar Lone, Senior Leader Sakina too, Dr Bashir Veeri, Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, Showkat Hussain, Imran Nabi Dar, Sheikh Rafi also paid glowing tributes to Late Sheikh Mansoor Sahib.

Meanwhile, Party President and Vice President have also expressed profound grief over the demise of the sister of Imam- e- Hai Kamal Ud Din Farooqi. The duo also condoled the demise of Farooq Banday Sahib Son of late Husam Ud Din Banday Sahib.

The President and Vice President have expressed unison with the bereaved Banday family in their hour of grief and prayed for the highest echelons to the deceased in the highest stations of Jannat. Party Functionaries including Muhammad Syed Akhoon, Peer Afaq have also expressed unison with the bereaved Banday Family and prayed for peace to the soul of the departed.(KNS)
