Bandipora, Sep 13 (KNS): Ghulam Nabi Tantrey, a close associate of Nizam-ud-din Bhat who is fighting an assembly election in a NC-Congress seat sharing pact from Bandipora constituency, on Friday criticized Dr Bilquees.
Bilquees who is daughter in law of former NC MLA from Bandipora Gh Rasool Naz is contesting elections as an independent candidate from the constituency, despite Nizamudin Bhat in fray.
"Dr Bilquees is a respectable personality,...but she should remember her family's identity is all due to the National Conference," Tantray said.
"Her father in law has been a two time MLA from Bandipora. But she has taken a separate path and I pray to God she is able to save her security deposit " Tantray mocked Bilquees.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Tantray said Bilquees is living in a falsehood that she can sway the electorate in her favor like "floods," reiterating she should worry about her security deposit, meaning she can't even manage a handful of voters.
Reacting to her criticism that Nizamuddin is changing parties "within months," Tantray cleared that Bhat has been in PC and PDP.
He said till yesterday, which was the last day of filing nomination papers, "we had no clear on getting congress mandate."
But when it was announced, "we welcome it" as according to him Congress is in alliance with NC which is the largest party and represents the aspirations of Kashmir people, suggesting it was for the good of Bandipora. (KNS)
