Srinagar, 13 Mar (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah offered Jumat-ul-Vida (final Friday of Ramadan) prayers at Dargah Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar. During the prayers, he prayed for lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the rest of the country.
Dr. Farooq expressed dismay over the gates of the mosque being locked on the auspicious day, saying the move had hurt the religious sentiments of people who traditionally gather there in large numbers for the occasion. (KNS)
