Srinagar May 10 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah Wednesday paid glowing tributes to party leader and former MLA Shopian Sheikh Muhammad Mansoor of Shopian on his 33rd death anniversary.

In a statement, the NC president said, “Mansoor Sahab was one of the sons of soil who laid down his life serving the people of Shopian in particular and the state in general. His sacrifice and service for the party and the people of the state will be remembered for all the times to come."

In his message, the NC vice president Omar Abdullah said, “Mansoor Sahab sacrificed his life for the principles of truth, courage and peace. His contribution towards the development of Shopian is immense and will never be forgotten.”

General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, State Secretary Sakina Itoo, MP Hasnain Masoodi, South Zone President Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi, District Presidents Showkat Hussain, Altaf Ahmed Wani, Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Mir, party leader Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi also paid tributes to Shaheed Mansoor sahib.
