"Today I came here without informing anyone, yet they tried to stop us. I want to ask under which law they acted. This is a democratic country; we are servants of the people, not of uniformed officers who misuse their authority," he said.

Omar Abdullah added that party workers were allegedly threatened, their flag was targeted, and attempts were made to detain them. "Despite all efforts to stop us, we came here, paid our respects, and offered Fatiha. We will continue to come here and honour our martyrs, no matter the obstacles."

He reiterated his commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that he remains answerable only to them, and not to those who seek to stifle democratic expression.(KNS)
