DPAP castigate Govt for outsourcing electricity from Ratle power project

Jammu Dec 06 (KN: Democratic Progressive Azad Party on Saturday criticized the Jammu and Kashmir adminstration for singing a contract with Rajasthan based company for Ratle power project and outsourcing electricity from the Union Territory.

The party chief spokesperson Salman Nizami said that the signing of contract and outsourcing energy from energy deficient region is a bizarre move. He questioned the move and the sensibility of adminstration “Such moves are made when a state has surplus energy available and wants to make money. Here in Jammu and Kashmir, we have extreme energy shortage and in such conditions, no government can afford to push its own people in dark and please others,” said Salman Nizami.

He said the motive behind the agreement is not known to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and it is the time for LG adminstration to come forward and clear the misconceptions among people. “No one knows the terms and conditions of the agreement. What we know so far that our resources are snatched to please our neighbour. Our people have primary rights over its resources and LG adminstration can’t speak on behalf of 1.30 crore people. It is the mandate of elected government only,” he said.

Nizami said that the LG adminstration must present white paper on it since some reports suggest that some facts have been kept hidden from the people.(KNS)
