Div Com refutes rumours about shortage of petroleum products in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 18 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole on Saturday refuted the rumours about shortage of petroleum products in Kashmir and said that adequate petroleum products are available in the Valley.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of an inaugural event at Srinagar, Pole said that due to transportation issues of an oil company particular petrol pump stations faced partial shortage.

He said that one of the oil companies had issues with their transportation, due to which there was a partial shortage of petroleum products on their outlets which is likely to get over today.

He, however, said that at IOC and BPC stations there was no shortage of fuel and they have adequate availability of petroleum products.

Pole further said that some people stocked petroleum products unnecessarily beyond their requirement and said there is nothing like shortage or any major price rise going to happen. (KNS)
