Srinagar, Sep 25 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Friday directed concerned departments to resolve pending issues by set deadlines to ensure the timely rollout of healthcare services at AIIMS Awantipora from October 31.

Chairing a meeting to review the operational readiness of the institute, Garg took stock of pending issues related to electricity supply for the water supply system, commissioning of a dedicated power sub-station, land-related matters and fire safety measures.

He directed the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department and Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) to resolve pending inter-departmental issues by Monday and ensure electricity supply for the water supply system.

Regarding the commissioning of the dedicated power sub-station, the Divisional Commissioner directed KPDCL to issue the requisite No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the institute.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He also directed Deputy Commissioner Pulwama to extend necessary assistance and guidance to CPWD engineers for expeditious resolution of land-related issues pertaining to the facility.

The Deputy Commissioner was further asked to make adequate arrangements for transportation of the general public up to the entrance of AIIMS Awantipora to facilitate convenient access to the hospital.

On fire safety certification, Garg directed the concerned officers to conduct a joint inspection of the facility and issue the requisite NOC by October 5.

The meeting was attended by the Executive Director, AIIMS Awantipora, SSP Traffic and concerned officers and engineers from PHE, KPDCL and various wings of CPWD.(KNS)
