Srinagar December 13 (KNS) : In a first District Development Council Pulwama has passed a resolution for suspension of Tehsilar Pulwama and Assistant Excecutive Engineer PWD for "disgracing" Vice Chairperson of the council.
The Council passed the resolution today during its meeting about the developmental issues of the district.
Sources said that the council members passed a resolution for suspending Tehsildar Pulwama and AEE PWD who has "barged" into the accommodation of Vice Chairperson of the council late night over a month ago in Pulwama town.
Sources said the Tehsildar and AEE PWD had around midnight barged into VC Mukhtar Band's government quarter in Pulwama town and locked his quarter without serving any notice or any reason.
Taking cognisance of the issue, the council in its resolution have sought explanation from the Tehsildar and AEE PWD Pulwama as to how "without any reason they had barged into" the quarters of VC and locked all his household belongings into a single room.
The council also discussed developmental and other welfare matters of the district and urged all to support implementation of PRI Act in letter and spirit for strengthening of grassroots democracy.
The council was chaired by SDC Chairperson Bari Andrabi and their 13 members of the council who all supported the resolution.(KNS)
