District admin Anantnag felicitated for ‘commendable’ work during Amarnath Yatra

 Srinagar, Sep 05(KNS): The Anantnag District Administration received recognition for their outstanding efforts in successfully managing the Amarnath Yatra in 2003. Their notable achievement includes creating an environment that encouraged local participation in significant numbers, rekindling the traditional fervor associated with this pilgrimage. At each station along the route, a substantial turnout of people warmly welcomed the pilgrims, especially in the Anantnag District

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Anantnag, Syed F. D. Hamid, attributed the smooth conduct of the Yatra to the collective efforts of the administration and the local populace. DC Hamid described it as a blessing for the entire Anantnag area, considering its revered nature and the manifold benefits it brings, including improvements in infrastructure, socio-economic conditions, and cultural exchanges.
