SRINAGAR, September 11:(KNS)  Apni Party Women Wing Provincial President Kashmir Dilshad Shaheen on Saturday    expressed her deep resentment over the  disengagement 918 ICDS helpers.

In a statement issued here, Shaheen said that such arbitrary decisions are detrimental to the women welfare especially those who want to support their families through hard work.

"After all these years, while relenting their sincere service in the ICDS centres, all what they recieve is humiliation and deprivation from what rightfully belongs to them. Such indifference with women folk is unjustified and doesn't resonate with the claims of women welfare," she said.

Shaheen demanded that the government must revoke such arbitrary decisions and alleviate the sufferings of such adroit workforce who wanted to earn with dignity.

"The government is duty-bound for the welfare of women especially those who  wish to earn for their families a dignified livelihood. Such women need appreciation as they are the role models who even in hostile environment delivered their selfless services. I hope the administration will see to it that justice is served," Shaheed urged.

She further said that if the administration fails to resonate with the genuine demands of these ICDS workers, the Apni Party Women Cadre will perform sit-ins in solidarity with them.(KNS
