Director Tourism sets up monitoring committees to streamline services provided to tourists in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 15 (KNS): Director tourism Kashmir has ordered setting up of monitoring committees in order to streamline services provided to the tourists at various tourist destinations in the Kashmir Valley.

According to the order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), two committees have been set for this purpose which includes Central Monitoring Committee and Destination Team.

As per the order Central monitoring team includes Dy. Director Tourism, Registration, Dy. Director Tourism, Kashmir, Dy. Director Tourism, Enforcement, Asstt. Director Tourism, Recreation/Events and Destination team includes Asstt. Director Tourism concerned, Asstt. Tourist Officer, concerned, Representative of concerned Tourism Dev. Authority andIn charge Tourist Police of the resort.

"It is further ordered that the central team shall be responsible to conduct random checking at various destinations including Dal and Nigeen Lakes in order to cross check whether the service providers follow the rates fixed for various services and SOPs notified from time to time are followed.

It reads that similarly, the destination and Resort team shall be responsible to conduct checking on regular basis and submit report on daily basis to this office for further follow up action.

"The teams shall also indicate in their feedback the measures required to be taken for improving and streamlining of various tourist related services," it reads. (KNS)
