Srinagar, Jul 02:(KNS)   Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather has expressed sorrow over the sad demise of Director Finance, Health & Medical Education, Mohammad Rafiq, who passed away days after he suffered stroke.

He had suffered a brain stroke some days back in Srinagar. He was flown to AIIMS New Delhi last week. He was on ventilator support for some days and he passed away last night.

A condolence meeting was held in the office of Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather, in which all the officers/officials of the Directorate participated including deputy directors, assistant directors and other senior officials.

 They expressed condolence with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.

While paying rich tributes to the departed soul the director said Rafiq was an upright, dedicated and honest officer, who was always helping and working with zeal and zest.

The director said Rafiq will always be remembered for his honesty. He said his death is an irreparable loss to the whole health department.(KNS)
