Director, Sericulture Development Department J&K, Inaugurates Silk Mark Expo 2024 in Jammu

Jammu, March 2 (KNS): Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director Sericulture J&K, today inaugurated the Silk Mark Expo 2024 in Jammu organized by the Silk Mark Organization of India under the aegis of the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of Indiaat Kala Kendra, Bikram Chowk Jammu.

Speaking on the occasion the Director Sericulture J&K told that the event aims to celebrate the timeless elegance of pure silk and protecting a consumer from the menace of duplicity and counterfeit products. Moreover, the Director Sericulture J&K while sharing his insights said that by visiting Silk Mark Expo 2024the consumers across India shall enjoy the luxurious allure of pure silk who are fond of original and finest quality silk products and rightfully expecting authenticity in their purchases.
 
However, the prevalence of fraudulent traders peddling impure silks—crafted from inferior materials such as Viscose Rayon, Polyester, and Nylon—threatens the integrity of this cherished textile. In this back drop the Silk Mark Organization of India in order to enthuse confidence among the buyers vis-à-vis the genuine finest quality original Silk products the Silk Mark organization of India holds such Expos.
