Srinagar,22 May (KNS): Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today conducted an extensive tour of strawberry producing areas of district Srinagar particularly village Gassu famous for its strawberry cultivation along with district-level officers.

During the visit, Director had a detailed interaction with the strawberry growers of the area. During the visit, the farmers apprised the Director about difficulties they are facing due to Covid-19 restriction in marketing the fruit.
Later, Director appreciated the strawberry growers for their hard work and assured them of all help particularly in the marketing of the strawberry fruit and also advised them to adopt a High-Density fruit plantation besides growing strawberry as an intercrop so as to double their income. (KNS)
