DIPR launches teaser of 'Beats of J&K' for inspiring, aspiring music artists

Srinagar, September 7 (KNS):  To encourage and facilitate the local artists of Jammu and Kashmir to showcase their talent, Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) today launched teaser of unique show ‘Beats of J&K’ with an avowed objective of providing them a platform to grow and make an indelible mark in their chosen fields on a larger canvas.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is scheduled to launch the initiative, designed to inspire the budding artists to exhibit their special gifted skills, thus giving a much needed push to local art forms in singing, dancing and allied disciplines.

The initiative will give young people around the J&K the opportunity to let their creativity and talent shine.

The 'Beats of J&K' invited aspiring, young performers to share their own compositions expressing their message in the medium of music.

Anyone who loves music and has a tune was invited to submit their work.

This exclusive endeavor of DIPR's would serve as a potent tool towards promoting and preserving dying folk art and regional legacy of Jammu and Kashmir, which has received huge acclaim the world over.

" We can’t wait to listen to everyone’s performance and hear their take on the melody and chorus,” said an aspiring artist who aspires to join Bollywood and take the local musical rhythemes and tunes along.

Another artist known for some Bollywood musical hits says music has always been a source of healing and empowerment him and "I know this  (Beats of JK) is going to be a memorable experience for everyone."

The programme would encourage music in all local dialects like Dogri, Pahadi, Kashmiri, Gojri, Punjabi and other languages.

The initiative will connect the youth with their roots in the shape of local music and art forms.
