Appeal authorities to maintain road stretch to avoid agitation

Sopore, Feb 04 (KNS): Dilapidated conditions of Farm road in Panjipora area of Sopore in Baramulla district has been giving tough time to the residents, even as they have appealed to the concerned authorities to maintain the road to avoid agitation. 

While complaining about administration's carelessness, locals told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the road was constructed in 1992 after villagers donated their proprietary land. 

“However, the authorities have failed to maintain the stretch due to which people are made to suffer. After the road construction, the authorities have never undertaken its repairs and subsequent macadamisation,” locals added. 

Meanwhile, the concerned Block Development Council (BDC) Member, Advocate Irfan Hafeez lone said that the road will be repaired soon. 

"The work would have been stared if weather conditions were favourable, but due to inclement weather it got delayed,” he said. (KNS)
