Srinagar February 05 (KNS): On the directions of Secretary health Bhupinder Kumar, Director Health Services Kashmir(DHSK) Dr M A Rather today visited Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara and took stock of the health care facilities being provided to people there. He was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag and both took round of the wards and other important areas of the hospital.
A delegation of locals also met the Director health and appraised him about the problems faced by them vis a vis health issues.He assured them that their genuine demands will be taken care of at the earliest.He also stressed upon the functioning of maternity services round the clock.He was informed that though the infrastructure is ready for the said services but the hospital is shortage of specialists for which 3specialists each from Gynaecology, Anaesthesia and Paediatrics need to be deputed at the earliest so that maternity services can run 24/7 and referrals are decreased. It's pertinent to mention that secretary Health Medical education Shri Bhupinder Kumar is very keen to start 24/7 services at SDH Bijbehara at the earliest.(KNS)
