Takes review of status of under-construction buildings, Covid-19 management in hospitals

Srinagar, December 12:(KNS)   Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today toured hospitals of south Kashmir to review the status of under-construction buildings and Covid-19 management in the hospitals.

A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services said that the director visited SDH Bijbehara and Trauma Hospital Bijbehara where he inspected the under-construction building and also inspected it’s all sections.

The director was accompanied by Dr Fazil Kouchal of NHM, Dr Ab Gani MS SDH Bijbehara and Assistant Executive Engineers of JKPCC besides other senior officials.

The director stressed on executing agencies to expedite the work on the project in view of the Covid and complete it at the earliest.

The concerned executive agencies assured the director that the work would be expedited.

The director also took review of the Covid-19, Covid maternity care and also reviewed the health care arrangements being provided to the people.

He also visited PHC Ashmuqam where he also took review of under-construction building for the hospital.

Dr Mushtaq also visited PHC Pahalgam and took the review of under-construction building where he was briefed about new upcoming hospital for which creation of 26 posts of various discipline stand already sanctioned by the government.

He stressed upon the engineers Pahalgam being a vital tourist place the work on the building should be expedited at the earliest. At Pahalgam he also interacted with tourists and patients.

Later he visited SDH Seer where he took a review of the functioning of the hospital and interacted with patients and staff.

During the visit, the director asked the hospital heads to follow fresh guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, which were revised in view of the Covid variant Omicron.

During the visit, the Director emphasized to focus on testing and directed the hospital administrators that testing should be increased that case detection becomes easy.(KNS
