Development of 3 playfields approved; DDC Chairman Srinagar thanks LG administration

Srinagar, May 30 (KNS): Authorities have approved the demands raised by District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson, Srinagar, Aftab Malik, for the development of open playfield grounds at Pandrethan, Balhama and Nowgam.
In this regard, the process has been initiated and concerned officials have been given just two days for submissions of detailed project reports (DPRs).
 
On the perusal of DDC Chairman Malik, the authorities have also approved building infrastructure at other two playfields also in Srinagar.  
 
“Yes, this is really a great news for our youth and sports loving persons that development of playfields at Pandrethan, Balhama and Nowgam has been initiated. I am thankful to LG administration for taking up these demands on priority,” Malik Aftab told KNS while replying to a query.
 
He added that on 10 January, this year, he was accompanied by former minister Muhammad Ashraf Mir when they called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan and apprised him of various issues and concerns of public importance.
 
“We had raised the demands including an induction of new playgrounds in these areas. We are thankful to LG administration for approving them,” Malik said.
 
He said that to involve youth in sports and other related activities, the establishment of new playgrounds in areas like is crucial and will provide an opportunity to youngsters to polish their talent in the field of sports.(KNS)
