Srinagar, Aug 14 (KNS) : President of Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, has strongly condemned the alleged use of derogatory and objectionable remarks against Martyred Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (RA), stating that such remarks have deeply hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims across Kashmir, Ladakh and the wider Muslim Ummah.
Addressing the Friday congregation at Markazi Imambara Budgam, Aga Syed Hassan said that the services of the Martyred Supreme Leader were not confined to Iran alone, but constituted a significant chapter in the history of the consolidation of the Islamic Revolution, unity of the Muslim Ummah, support for the oppressed and resistance against injustice. He said Ayatollah Khamenei’s role in safeguarding the revolution led by Imam Khomeini(RA) and transforming Iran into a strong, sovereign and influential power remains unforgettable.
He said that Iran’s present-day resilience and ability to withstand immense international pressure are rooted in the vision, leadership and decades-long struggle of the Martyred Supreme Leader.

He added that the wider Muslim Ummah holds his services, steadfastness and support for the oppressed in the highest regard.
Aga Syed Hassan made it clear that differences of opinion can never justify insulting or disrespectful language, and that freedom of expression must not be misused to ridicule religious personalities or hurt the religious sentiments of any community.
He urged the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh and the concerned authorities to initiate immediate and strict action against those responsible in accordance with law.
“We expect the authorities to take decisive action in this matter so that such incidents are not repeated in the future,” he said.
Aga Syed Hassan also appealed to the public, particularly the youth, to exercise restraint and respond to any provocation through peaceful, constitutional and lawful means. (KNS)
