Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Flags Off Hajj Pilgrims

 Anantnag, June 7, 2023(KNS): Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag, SF Hamid, flagged off the Hajj pilgrims of District Anantnag at a ceremony held in Dak Bunglow Khanbal. This annual event marks the beginning of the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the most significant religious journeys for Muslims worldwide. Each year, millions of Muslims from around the world gather in Mecca to perform rituals and seek spiritual fulfillment.

 

A comprehensive plan has been put in place to facilitate the departure of the pilgrims from Anantnag district. The plan includes arrangements for transportation, accommodation, healthcare, and other essential services to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for the pilgrims.

Speaking at the flagging-off ceremony, Deputy Commissioner SF Hamid expressed his best wishes to the Hajj pilgrims and emphasized the significance of this spiritual journey. He commended the efforts of the administration and various departments involved in making the arrangements, ensuring that all necessary facilities are in place for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

The Deputy Commissioner also urged the pilgrims to adhere to the guidelines and protocols established by the Government of India and the Saudi Arabian authorities. He emphasized the importance of following all health and safety measures to protect themselves from any untoward incident.
