Jammu, February 09(KNS): A delegation from Slara ward number 2 and Hartrean from Udhampur District today called on senior leaders of JK Apni Party Sh Dilawar Mir, General Secretary of the party Sh Vijay Bakaya and Provincial President of the Women’s wing of the party Smt Namrata Sharma.

As per the statement issued to KNS, They highlighted their plight regarding problems faced by people of their areas. The people are facing problems with regards to water supply and also supply of electricity. Some residents are receiving electricity bills even when they don’t have an electricity connection.  

One of the requests of the delegation was the extension of an amnesty scheme with regards to power which was announced by the government of J&K and extended till November 30, 2020.

Most power consumers could not avail of the scheme since they were facing extreme hardships due to the CoronaVirus pandemic, the statement of Apni Party said.  

The JK Apni Party leadership gave them a patient hearing and assured them that they would take up the matter with the administration and will try to get their problems resolved.

The deputation included prominent citizens and leaders like Hans Raj Dogra, Subash Sharma, Sat Pal, Majid Khan, Ali Hussain and others.(KNS)
