Srinagar, January 23:(KNS) A representative delegation from New Colony & Hamza Colony of Rathpora-Eidgah Constituency on Sunday called upon the Senior People's Conference Leader Irfan Mattoo and sought his intervention to resolve the drainage issues in their area.

The delegation comprised of Mr Fayaz Ahmad Najar (Mohalla President), Mr Mohammad Aslam Baba, Mohammad Ashraf Pathan and Mohd Arif Sheikh who related about the miseries of the local inhabitants and the negligence of administrative machinery.

Mattoo assured them to bring this issues in notice of the higher authorities including Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mayor SMC and Commissioner SMC.

"I will personally raise this issue with the competent authorities and will ensure that all the measures necessary are taken to resolve this long pending issue where the common citizens of these areas have suffered a lot. I am highly hopeful that administrative machinery will ensure that the drainage problem is resolved once for all by dispatching working teams to the area for the assessments and beginning of the necessary work procedures," Mattoo said.(KNS)
