Kupwara, Dec 13 (KNS): The regional transport office in north Kashmir's Kupwara district is running without a printer for the past one year, thereby hampering the smooth functioning of the office.

The people from across the district associated with the transport sector while complaining about the issue told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that they are not getting their licences for the past several months due to the technical fault of printer in the RTO office Kupwara.

A local resident Mudasir Ahmad said he was visiting the RTO office for the past one year for his licence but it is not getting it due to the technical fault in the printer.

"Although my licence is ready but due to the technical fault in the printer I am able to get it," he said, adding without hard copy of the licence he's suffering a lot.

Nayeem-ul-Rahman, another local said even though his licence is ready as he checked it through the portal, but he too is not getting the hard copy of the licence for the past several months.

Meanwhile, ARTO Kupwara, Anees Ahmad also admitted that the office printer is defunct for the past several months, while around 3000 licences are pending.

He said the printer will be made functional very soon as they are working on it while the issue was taken up with the higher authorities.
