Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNS) ; National Conference (NC) state spokesperson Imran Dar on Saturday lauded the Omar Abdullah-led government for clearing the long-pending dues of government employees, including gratuity and commutation bills.
Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) here, Dar said that bills pertaining to the General Provident Fund (GPF) have been cleared up to December 2025, addressing a key grievance that had persisted for years.
"The government is taking pro-employee steps. The issues of retired and in-service employees have been solved to some extent," Dar said, expressing gratitude on behalf of his party.

Separately, the NC spokesperson also defended a proposed bill aimed at regularizing unauthorized occupations, asserting that it was a pro-poor initiative. He drew a distinction between the current administration's approach and that of the previous LG-led government.
"This is a bill for the poor. It is not to help any industrialist or any relative. This is the biggest difference," Dar said, referring to the rehabilitation policy for those occupying state land for decades. (KNS)
