BJP a failed party, its government a disaster: Hari Chib

RS PURA, July 04:(KNS)   District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural on Sunday staged protest on escalating prices of petroleum products which have brought the common households on the brink of starvation as every next day is the day of hike of fuel prices whether it is petrol, diesel or cooking gas.

Led by Hari Singh Chib, President, District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural, the party activits assembled at RS Pura and termed BJP as a failed party and the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a complete disaster, citing unprecedented trajectory of ‘everyday’ hike in fuel rates. Others who spoke include Rajinder Singh Corporator and Ravinder Singh Senior Vice President District Congress Committee Jammu Rural. Several other office bearers of DCC Jammu Rural and members of block committees of R.S. Pura and Miran Sahib were also present.

Later, Hari Singh chaired a meeting of party activits at RS Pura and discussed the issues being faced by the common man.

Touching the pulse of common masses, the Congress opened a front against BJP at the border town of R S Pura. Hari Singh Chib said that this protest is against the ruthless and unprecedented hike in fuel prices that too under the ‘watch and ward’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is busy blaming the erstwhile governments and the century-old leadership that used to rule the country instead of looking into his misrule and bizarre approach towards the issue hurting masses across the length and breadth of the country.

Hari Singh demanded immediate rollback on the hiked prices of fuel and said that PM Modi has steered the nation towards state of morass and unending woes with no signs of recovering. He asked the people to make a comparison and find out by themselves the difference between Congress-led dispensations and PM Modi’s misrule. “Besides the steep hikes in rates of diesel and petrol, prices of other commodities of daily use like cooking oil and LPG have also registered a manifold increase”, he said adding that it is the time for BJP to depart once and for all.

Among others who were present include Ravinder Singh, Sr Vice President; Charanjeet Bhagat and Harbans Lal Bhagat Secretaries; Sham Lal Mehra and Kuldeep Raj, Block Presidents; Jawahar Singh, Sewa Ram, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Chander Prabha, Subash Choudhary, Khuswant Singh, Avtar Singh, Ajit Singh, Jang Bahadur, Sat Pal Mehdi, Dr Bishan Dass, Kimti Lal, Ravi Kumar and Noubat Lal.(KNS)
