Anantnag June 14:(KNS) Taking immediate cognisance of few reports regarding unauthorised absence of some doctors from duties at Government Medical College Anantnag, the Deputy Commissioner (District Magistrate) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla today directed the Principal of the college to strictly monitor the attendence and roster of the doctors and paramedical staff there. He further asked the Principal to ensure the health staff at the college atttend the duties punctually and follow the roster in letter and spirit besides forwarding the attendence to office of the Deputy Commissioner on daily basis. 

Meanwhile, on directions of the DC, a team of officials headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh and Tehsildar Anantnag being member, was sent to GMC Anantnag to verify the attendence of the doctors on ground. 

Speaking on the matter, the DC said the doctors should regularly attend the duties addding tbe puntuality of medical staff becomes even more significant during these testing (Covid) times.(KNS)
