Pulwama ,18 August :(KNS) Deputy commissioner Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary today made an extensive tour of Tral Subdivision and held public Durbar at Aripal where he was accompanied by SSP Awantipora  , ADC Tral ,SE Jal Shakti and RB besides other sectoral Officers .

The team visited various habitations including Shaldraman, Chankitaar, Ponzo, Lurgam, Mandoora, Lurrow Jagir, Shahpora, Shikargah etc to assess the progress of ongoing civil works on the Tral lift irrigation scheme and to redress public grievances on the spot.

During the tour several delegations met the Deputy Commissioner enroute with demands pertaining to Power Dev Dept, Jal Shakti, balance payments under MGNREGA, 14th FC, land compensation related issues, PDS & rationing, PMGSY road projects, Health care etc.
During the Public hearing Aripal , various Delegations, Individuals, Deputations from Panchayats apprised the DDC about the issues pertaining to the different departments including Health ,Education, Horticulture ,Agriculture ,Jal Sakti ,RDD,R&B, Power Deptt, Social Welfare, ICDS and other sectors. The delegations also raised the issues regarding the provision of  various services like revenue extracts, domicile certificates, caste certificates, dependency certificates, registration for various individual benefit schemes including social Security schemes for Old age pensions, handicap pensions, scholarships  and submitted memorandum of demands pertaining to their respective Panchayat Halqas .
Deputy Commissioner accordingly gave necessary directions to all concerned departments for immediate redressal.
Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner did a detailed review of the various high value  projects and directed Officers to set timelines for completion of Projects. 
The locals of Tral & Aripal appreciated the efforts of District Administration and hailed the extensive tour of the area undertaken by the Deputy Commissioner.(KNS)
