KUPWARA, JULY 29 (KNS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir along with Director Coordination New Medical Colleges, Dr. Yashpal Sharma today visited the construction site of Government Medical College (GMC) at Handwara.
On the occasion, the DC got the detailed appraisal of the site plan for the construction of GMC. He was informed that the project costs Rs.255 crore and has 251 kanals of land in possession.
The DC directed the concerned officers to submit Detailed Progress Report (DPR) of the project within a week’s time and expedite the work on the project.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, the DC expressed his gratitude to the people of Handwara for their best cooperation for providing land for the prestigious project which is a great success for the people of the remote and frontier district Kupwara. He said that the benefits of this mega project will percolate down to the local people of the area.
