DC Kick-Starts COVID-19 Vaccination Dry Run Across Baramulla

Baramulla, January 08(KNS): As part of COVID-19 vaccine dry run scheduled today throughout the country, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo has kick-started the campaign across the district.

In this connection, a brief function was organised by Sheeri Medical Block of health department at UPHC Old Town Baramulla where the DC was invited as the chief guest to launch the campaign.

After launching the campaign, DC complimented the health functionaries and said that health functionaries worked tirelessly during the tough time emerged due to outbreak of pandemic. He enlisted various initiatives that were taken by the administration to combat the challenge and said that health department remained at the fore front and deserve marvellous appreciation.

Meanwhile, Dr Itoo said that the challenge has not faded away and underlined the need to follow the requisite SOPs and guidelines especially using face masks and maintain social distancing so that any kind of exigency is averted. He also informed that about 300 health workers from across the district have been choosen to get vaccinated in the dry run campaign.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC, Nodal Officer,Block Medical Officer Sheeri and other concerned officer were present on the occasion.

Similar functions were also organised at GMC Baramulla, Sopore and Pattan where several health workers were vaccinated as part of the dry run campaign.(KNS)
