Srinagar May 16 (KNS): Day long 6th PGRP (Post Graduate Research Presentations) was held on Tuesdya in the auditorium of Govt. Dental College & Hospital Srinagar.

The research programme was inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.) Riyaz Farooq, Principal/Dean of the institution at 10 am, were he explained the importance & significance of holding of said research events from time to time in improving the standards of dental education & dental treatments rendered to the ailing dental patients.

The said research presentation academic event was attended by   Prof. (Dr.) Shabir Ahmad Shah, Medical Superintendent/Head Dental Materials, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Mushtaq, Convener/Head Orthodontics, Prof.(Dr.) Aijaz Ahmad Shah, Head Oral Surgery, Prof.(Dr.) Sandeep Kour, Head Prosthodontics, Prof.(Dr.) Suhail Majid Jan, Head Periodontics , other HODs of the institution,  faculty members, registrars & the PG scholars of the institution who participated in the said research event.  27 research presentations which included 4 each from the Departments of Conservative Dentistry, Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics/Crown /Bridge and Periodontics, 3 each from Departments of Orthodontics, Oral Medicine/Radiology and Oral Pathology and 2 from the Department of Pedodontics were conducted during the whole day with active interaction & deliberations by the participants about the various topics of research which were presented during the said brain storming academic event.

The research event finally concluded at 4.30 pm with distribution of certificates of appreciation by Principal /Dean of the institution among all the research presenters of the day.
